Newtek's 90,000 m³/h Cryogenic Air Separation Units (ASUs) are cutting-edge systems designed for large-scale production of high-purity oxygen, nitrogen, and argon through cryogenic air separation technology. These units utilize advanced deep freezing and distillation processes to efficiently separate air components. The process begins by cooling the air to below 100K to liquefy it, and then utilizes the distinct boiling points of gases like oxygen (90K) and ammonia (77K) to achieve separation.

In the distillation tower, the difference in boiling points between oxygen and other gases, like nitrogen and argon, ensures efficient separation. The vaporized ammonia rises, while oxygen in the liquid phase condenses, thereby enhancing the purity of the gases produced. This method is highly effective, achieving the ultimate goal of producing high-purity oxygen while maintaining low energy consumption and high reliability.
