How does liquid oxygen generator plant work?

 

Air compression and precooling

Atmospheric air is first compressed by the compressor to increase the pressure, and then cooled and dehumidified in the precooler to improve the subsequent cooling efficiency.

 

Air purification

The compressed and precooled air enters the molecular sieve purification system to remove moisture, carbon dioxide and other impurity gases.

 

Main heat exchanger

Pure air enters the main heat exchanger in the cryogenic box, and countercurrent cooling is performed using the cold and hot gases from the cryogenic box to liquefy the air.

 

Cryogenic distillation

The liquefied air enters the high-pressure distillation tower, and components such as liquid oxygen and nitrogen are separated during the distillation process according to the different boiling point characteristics of the components. The liquid oxygen product is further purified by the low-pressure distillation tower.

 

Product output

High-purity liquid oxygen products are obtained from the bottom of the low-pressure tower. After being processed in the storage tank, they can be directly tanked and output or further vaporized into gaseous oxygen. Part of the product is circulated back to the cryogenic box to provide refrigeration for the system.

 

Automatic control

The entire separation process is automatically operated by a computer control system, and each parameter is strictly monitored to ensure efficient and stable operation.

The process flow of NEWTEK's liquid oxygen plant starts with the intake of atmospheric air (feed air) into the plant. The feed air is filtered and compressed before entering the air storage tank. The air is then cooled to extremely low temperatures through a series of heat exchangers. To remove impurities from the air, the plant is equipped with a molecular sieve purification system.

 

The purified feed air enters the high-pressure distillation tower. At this critical stage, oxygen is separated from other gases present in the air by continuous distillation based on the difference in boiling points. The liquid oxygen produced from the high-pressure tower enters the low-pressure distillation tower and is further distilled until it reaches the specified high purity level.

 

The entire separation process is fully automated and operates smoothly and reliably. The purity of our liquid oxygen products can reach more than 99.7%, fully meeting the needs of high-purity liquid oxygen in industries such as industry and medicine. The plant is also equipped with a complete canning unit, which can provide liquid oxygen canning services according to customer needs for easy storage and transportation.
