air separation unit process

This asu air products purifies air through molecular sieves and uses a liquid process of a booster expander and an air cycle booster for fractionation. The raw air is filtered, compressed, and cooled before entering the precooler, where it is then passed through a molecular sieve adsorber to remove impurities. The purified air enters the main heat exchanger and is cooled before entering the lower tower, where liquid air and pure liquid nitrogen are obtained through preliminary distillation. Liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen are output as products after being supercooled, and pure nitrogen is discharged after being reheated. The unit also separates argon through a distillation process to obtain pure liquid argon. The entire system is efficient and stable, ensuring a smooth air separation process.

ASU Air Products has three main application areas:

Chemical Industry:
Provides high-purity oxygen and nitrogen for chemical reactions, oxidation reactions and inert atmosphere protection to support efficient chemical production processes.

Metallurgy and Metal Processing:
Oxygen is used for steel smelting and metal cutting, and nitrogen is used for metal protection to ensure efficient and low-cost production processes.

Medical Industry:
Provides liquid oxygen and gaseous oxygen for hospitals and medical institutions to provide necessary oxygen therapy for critically ill patients.

Public works conditions:

The designed atmospheric pressure is 100kPa(A)
