7.How Cryogenic Liquid Oxygen Plant works.

 

The entire production process covers multiple key subsystems. The first is the air liquefaction subsystem, which is the starting point of the entire device. Air is sucked in from the atmosphere and boosted by the main compressor. The boosted air enters the purification equipment to remove impurities such as dust, water and carbon dioxide, ensuring that the subsequent process is not interfered by impurities. The purified air is further boosted to a specific pressure by the circulating booster, and then enters the heat exchange equipment for cooling. The gas-liquid separator introduces the liquefied air into the liquefied storage tank for storage, and the unliquefied deep cold air flows back to the auxiliary equipment. After multiple heat exchanges and expansion cooling, the air temperature is finally reduced to near the liquefaction point temperature. Under the corresponding saturation pressure conditions, the air is completely liquefied and stored in the liquefied air storage tank. ​

Then comes the cold and hot circulation subsystem, which plays a vital role. A large amount of high-temperature heat energy is generated during the air compression process. This subsystem is responsible for recovering this part of the heat energy to increase the air temperature at the inlet of the expander, thereby enhancing the expansion power generation capacity and realizing efficient use of heat energy. At the same time, the cold energy generated during the evaporation process is also recovered to reduce the energy consumption of the air liquefaction process, greatly improving the energy utilization efficiency.​

 

The last part is the expansion power generation subsystem. In this link, the cryogenic pump pressurizes the liquefied air in the liquid tank and sends it to the vaporizer to complete the gasification process of the liquid air. The vaporized high-pressure air is heated to a higher temperature many times and enters the expander to generate electricity and do work. It is worth mentioning that in order to increase the output power of the expansion power generation subsystem and improve the overall efficiency of the system, the compressed air adopts multi-stage expansion, and the compression heat is used to reheat the air at the expander inlet.
